Alavash is a plant native to Aiur which evolved alongside the protoss.
It has the ability to sense the feelings and thoughts of others, and is capable of some kind of communication with protoss. The protoss use its nectar to strengthen their connection to the Khala.
The plant nearly went extinct as a result of the zerg invasion.[1]
