The Claw Brood was a zerg formation that served the fallen xel'naga Amon.
In an apocalyptic future foreseen by the Overmind, Amon deployed his hybrid forces and the Claw Brood to eradicate the final protoss on a distant, shadowed world. The brood was subsequently wiped out with the remaining zerg by the hybrids.[1]
