Antimatter is the extension of the concept of the antiparticle to matter, where antimatter is composed of antiparticles in the same way that normal matter is composed of particles.

Antimatter is widely used by the protoss. Immortals,[1] photon cannons and dragoons fire encapsulated antimatter and the scout employs antimatter missiles.[2] In recent times, terrans have been able to use antimatter as a weapon, specifically in the warheads of ripwave missiles. However, the issue of long-term environmental effects has raised concern in some circles.[3]
