Artika is a planet on the outskirts of the Koprulu Sector. It is the site of a xel'naga temple.
After the Brood War, the temple became the objective of Terran Dominion, protoss and zerg forces. The Dominion Marine Corps and zerg engaged first. The protoss arrived later, much to the terrans' surprise, and ultimately proved victorious. Casualties were heavy for all sides, and the loss of many warriors made several protoss wonder if victory was worth it.
