A Blade Guardian is a powerful strain of ultralisk.

Carpenter's Brood possessed at least two of these creatures, one of which was used to defend itself from the Zerg Swarm. The other was rescued by the Swarm and subsequently used to crush Carpenter's forces.^[1]
