The Char Brood is the zerg brood which served as the primary strike force of Kerrigan's invasion of Dominion space in 2504.

HistoryEdit

After the Brood War, this brood accompanied Sarah Kerrigan to the xel'naga temple on Ulaan where they came into conflict with Zeratul. Despite the brood's efforts to kill him, Zeratul escaped, due to the actions of Karass and his warriors, who sacrificed themselves to buy Zeratul time. [1]

In late 2504, the Zerg Swarm initiated a massive invasion of Terran Dominion space in an attempt to capture several ancient alien artifacts, with the brood leading the assault. [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][1]

This brood led the main defense of Char when a combined Terran Dominion and Raynor's Raiders force assaulted Char. It dealt heavy casualties against the terrans, but it was not enough to halt the activation of the Keystone which partially de-infested Kerrigan.[9][10][11][12]

NotesEdit

The brood's decal is available in multiplayer as a reward for winning 500 1v1 games as zerg.[13]
