Collins was the Magistrate of Chau Sara. In late 2499, he was faced with an unenviable situation; the Sons of Korhal had been working for months to undermine Confederate authority in the Fringe Worlds[1] and there was the threat that Chau Sara may engage in revolt. He called in Alpha Squadron deal with the situation. However, circumstances became far more complicated with the emergence of some strange xenomorphs and Cerberus Recon Squad.[2]
Although the existence of the xenomorphs was not unknown to Collins, having known of their study in the Flannum Installation, that did not stop the Cerberus Commander asserting his authority over him,[3] much to Collins' frustration. Eventually, due to a disagreement over tactics (Collins wanted to form a defensive perimeter while the Commander believed an early strike was required) after the liberation of Los Andares, Collins' authority was superseded.[4]
