The Colonial Crisis Act was an act passed by the Terran Confederacy. Under sub-section 1602, a high ranking Confederate commander supersedes the authority of a planet's civilian government should circumstances require it.

The Cerberus Commander used this act to take over the colony of Chau Sara in late 2499 from Magistrate Collins when they disagreed on anti-zerg tactics.
