The covert ops is a terran facility that is an add-on to the Science facility. It provides the ability to train ghosts and the upgrades they can receive, and is an alternative to the physics lab. It was originally only accessible to members of the Confederate Intelligence Corps.[1]

The covert ops does not appear in StarCraft II, its role of providing support for ghosts having been taken by the ghost academy and tech lab.
