[edit] Appearance

Dark Templar conflicting tribes

In order to make the Dark Templar different in appearance from zealots, Samwise Didier gave dark templar different weapons (a bladed staff weapon) and armor covered with zerg bones.[9] Two types of dark templar will feature – one model, the Zer'atai, will have a scythe, another, the Lenassa, will have a warp blade.[10] Dark templar with two blades may be added later.[11]

Blizzard Entertainment held a poll on which model the community favors – Zer'atai, Lenassa, or a random selection of both. The random selection of both won[10] and Blizzard intends to follow the results.[12]

The Obelisk still has the probe buff, but now also acts as a shield generator, and still has Argus link to transfer energy as well. The cloak ability has been removed from the Obelisk.
