The Destruction of Korhal was a Confederate attempt to destroy the Korhalian rebel movement once and for all by launching a strike of nuclear warheads upon the rebel planet. However, while the devastation brought by the nuclear strike destroyed most of the rebel army; however its leader, Arcturus Mengsk, wasn't on the planet at that time, and so the rebellion did continue, with fewer numbers.
