Revolution Overdrive Songs of Liberty ST - 05 - Dim Lights, Thick Smoke, and Loud Loud Music

"Dim Lights, Thick Smoke, and Loud Loud Music" is a terran music piece.[1] It was composed by Joe Maphis, Max M. Fidler, and Rose Lee Maphis and performed by Big Tuna.[2]

History[]

"Dim Lights, Thick Smoke, and Loud Loud Music" is an old Earth song about a man laughing over another with an alcoholic addiction, popularized on Mar Sara by the band Big Tuna. It was considered to be one of their main hits before they faded into obscurity. The song was banned by the Terran Dominion, and featured by Humbert H. on the album Revolution Overdrive: Songs of Liberty.[2]

Lyrics[]

Dim lights, thick smoke, and loud, loud music
It's the only kind of life you'll ever understand
Oh, dim lights, thick smoke and loud, loud music
You'll never make a wife, to a home loving man

At home eight little children, means nothing to you
A house full of love and a husband so true
You'd rather have a drink with the first guy you meet
And the only home you know, is that ṗub down the street

Dim lights, thick smoke, and loud, loud music
It's the only kind of life you'll ever understand
Dim lights, thick smoke, and loud, loud music
You'll never make a wife, to a home loving man

Drinking and dancing to a honky tonk band
It's the only kind of life you'll ever understand
Go on and have your fun, you think you played it smart
Yeah I feel sorry for you and your honky-tonk heart.

Dim lights, thick smoke, and loud, loud music
It's the only kind of life you'll ever understand
Dim lights, thick smoke, and loud, loud music
You'll never make a wife, to a home loving man

Game Effect[]

The track can be played by the Hyperion's jukebox.[1]
