The hybrid holding cell is a Terran Dominion structure. Eight such cells were located within the research labs of Skygeirr Station. In 2505, a resurgent Zerg Swarm under Sarah Kerrigan, in accordance to the infested terran Alexei Stukov's request, infiltrated the station. Emil Narud released the hybrid dominators housed within the cells, but the zerg defeated them, gaining control of the station's upper levels.
