Marine SC2 Game2

Marines with shields

The LarsCorp Technologies M98 ballistic alloy combat shield[1] is a terran personal protective device. It was issued to marines after the Brood War demonstrated their vulnerability on increasingly lethal battlefields. The shield was mounted on the upper arm or shoulder guard and left both hands free.[2]

The shield is made of 30mm of bonded carbide, shown to increase marine survivability by 25%.[1]

  6. Yup, the Marines still have upgradable shields, making a huge difference late game against more high damage units. As long as those Marines can survive that initial hit, the Medivac Dropships does an awesome job of bringing them back to full health in no time. Karune. 2008-09-16.
