Are we sure this image is actually made by Blizzard? PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 15:35, November 21, 2010 (UTC)

Hawki originally uploaded this one. I simply updated it to a higher quality version. (deleted version). - Meco (talk, contribs) 01:37, November 22, 2010 (UTC)

It wasn't the quality I was thinking about, but the source. Is that actually Sons of the Storm stuff? I was thinking we should remove it from Kerrigan's page until we get an update. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 02:19, November 22, 2010 (UTC)

Can't help there. You'll need to ask Hawki about it. A cursory look doesn't turn up anything on SotS. TinEye doesn't turn up anything conclusive either. - Meco (talk, contribs) 03:10, November 22, 2010 (UTC)

Not sure how this became such an issue-the entire rationale of caution seemed to be based on the notion that someone would insert fanart into a frame and post it with over 200 pieces of official art. Still, if one argues that a fan would be willing to frame over 10 pieces of official art to create the illusion of fan art being official as well...well, I'm more inclined to go with Occam's razor on this.--Hawki 13:28, November 22, 2010 (UTC)

The Flickr stream does include items from blizzard.com's fan art gallery. Examples:

On the other hand, the presenters seem to have some idea (whether right or wrong) which pieces are fan art and which are official. The two above are marked clearly (and correctly) described as fan art. The image in question is not described as fan art and was mounted with other official art.

Unless there's an example where fan and official art were mixed together and not acknowledged, I am willing to led this one stay. Naturally, we should be on the look out for the artist's identity. Does the style look familiar to anyone? - Meco (talk, contribs) 19:02, November 22, 2010 (UTC)
