Hel's Angels are a terran mercenary organization. Taking their name from the Norse goddess of death, they roam the Fringe Worlds, preying on Terran Dominion shipping lanes.[1]

The Hel's Angels hired themselves out to Orlan's Mercenaries,[2] the Dominion,[3] and the Umojan Protectorate.[4]

During the Second Great War, they offered their services to Raynor's Raiders after the Raiders traveled to Haven to aid the Agrian colonists.[1]

Development

The Angels' appearence is based on old Viking designs, such as the pointed nose cone. Returning to the pointed nose helped change up the silhouette, as well as adding additional wings and blades under the gatling guns. It was planned to have a melee attack as well, but time constraints prevented this from being implemented.[8]
Notes
Edit
- The mercenary group's name is a combination of Hel, the Norse goddess of the dead, and "Hells Angels", a famous biker gang.
- Unlike normal vikings a Hel's Angels unit portrait does not reveal the pilot's face when transformed into assault mode.
