Holo-cameras (a.k.a. holocams)[1] are hovering terran devices. They require a single operator who wears an eyepiece linked with the camera's footage and are battery powered.[2] Projecting holograms, they are often used in news reports, being used in conjunction with flatscreens.[3] However, they are available for private use also.[4]
During the reign of the Terran Confederacy, Constantino Terra possessed a monopoly over the holo-camera industry after Continental went out of business.[5]
Notes
Holo-cameras may be related to cam bots, which match a similar description and have a similar function among UNN reporters.
