The hunterling is an upgraded version of the brutalisk. It is found in the map Left 2 Die.[1]
Game Unit
Edit
The hunterling is a very agile unit, in stark contrast to the brutalisk, and its considerably smaller than it. It is able to jump up cliffs in a similar manner to a reaper. Also, it can use its leap attack to instantly close the distance with a target. If the leap attack is targeted on a specific unit, the hunterling will jump on the unit's back, incapacitating it entirely and allowing the hunterling to attack with its claws unhindered. This ability makes the hunterling especially dangerous against lone targets.
Unlike the brutalisk, the hunterling is unable to attack or spew acid at air targets.

Trivia
Edit
As Left 2 Die is based on Left 4 Dead, so similarly is the hunterling likely based on the Hunter.
