This article or section contains information derived from Co-op Missions, and should not be considered part of the official StarCraft storyline.

During the End War, hunterlings appeared on a fringe Terran Dominion colony, and allied commanders were called in to destroy them.[2]

Game UnitEdit

Left 2 DieEdit

The hunterling appears in the multiplayer map "Left 2 Die." It is a very agile unit, in stark contrast to the brutalisk, and its considerably smaller than it. It is able to jump up cliffs in a similar manner to a reaper. Also, it can use its leap attack to instantly close the distance with a target. If the leap attack is targeted on a specific unit, the hunterling will jump on the unit's back, incapacitating it entirely and allowing the hunterling to attack with its claws unhindered. This ability makes the hunterling especially dangerous against lone targets.

Unlike the brutalisk, the hunterling is unable to attack or spew acid at air targets. As a result, the zerg hunterling is a very powerful unit capable of sneaky assaults.

Co-op MissionsEdit

Hunterlings appear as special infested on the "Dead of Night" mission in Co-op Missions. They are fast, agile killers that can jump over cliffs and dive into mineral lines. They have a high attack speed, and their leap stuns their target.[2]

TriviaEdit

As Left 2 Die is based on Left 4 Dead, so similarly is the hunterling likely based on the Hunter.
