Infested missile turrets are missile turrets that have been subject to zerg infestation.

Overview[]

Second Great War[]

During Second Great War, infested missile turrets were nonfunctional, and worked only as spawning grounds for infested terrans and their offshoot breeds. Several were destroyed by Raynor's Raiders on Meinhoff to stem its infestation.[1]

End War[]

Infested missile turrets were also present on Aiur, placed in strategic locations to defend Amon's host body. These were functional and combat capable. They were destroyed by the Daelaam.[2]

After the End War, the zerg overran a Umojan Protectorate research expedition to Jarban Minor, infesting several missile turrets. However, these missile turrets retained their functionality both as detectors and as anti-air static defenses.[3]

Game Structure[]

Co-op Missions[]

Infested missile turrets can be produced by Stukov in Co-op Missions. They have the exact same stats and cost as regular missile turrets, but with the added advantage of being able to uproot and reposition as well as slowly regenerate like other zerg buildings. They do not catch on fire when at low health either. However, they can only be built and root in creep, and take damages if they end up off-creep. They also have the added typing of biological, which makes them take bonus damage from archons. As both mechanical and biological, they can be repaired by any SCV as well as healed by a friendly Queen.

Upgrades and Abilities[]
