Jensen was a terran and a member of the Confederate Marine Corps. In Melnikov's opinion, Jensen was an introvert who seemed to lack enthusiasm as he looked as if he would fall asleep on the way to combat and didn't seem to be very talkative. Melnikov hoped that Jensen fought better than these things might suggest.

In December 2499, Sergeant Jensen led the Third Squad of the 417th Confederate Marine Platoon on Mar Sara. During the battle with zerg at Oasis, the sergeant went missing while searching for M'butu.
