The New Folsom Confederate Mine was a mine on New Folsom built by the Terran Confederacy. It took four attempts to build it, using a flexible platform to adjust to the planet's shifting crust. It was repurposed into New Folsom Prison due to being expensive to maintain. The prisoners were forced to mine the catalytic elements required for the production of neosteel which was found on New Folsom.[1]
