The terran nuclear reactor is an add-on in StarCraft II. Its modular design enables it to be attached to barracks, factories and starports.[5]

A structure attached to a nuclear reactor can produce units more quickly. For instance, a barracks attached to a nuclear reactor can produce marines twice as quickly. The player must be able to afford both units, however.[5]

The reactor grants an extra-long queue as well.[2]

Note that in multiplayer, a terran structure cannot be attached to both a tech lab and a nuclear reactor, so it cannot enjoy the benefits of both.[5]

Notes

"Salvage the structure, removing it and returning 100% of its mineral and gas value. Warning - once salvage is triggered it cannot be cancelled."[8]

Salvage enables certain terran structures to be "sold" for their full resource value.[10] This ability takes 5 seconds to use, however.[9] Once activated, stopping the salvaging process is impossible.[11]

Edit

The reactor can be quickly salvaged.[2][1]
