The Pillagers are a zerg organization intent on stripping Chau Sara of its resources following its purification by the protoss. They are based in or near "Ghost Town", the remains of a major township. They are opposed by the Reconstructionists, an organization dedicated to rebuilding the cities.^[1]

The spokesperson, seemingly an intelligent defiler, suggested the Pillagers had non-zerg allies.^[1]
