The Rosetta Stone is an ancient Earth artifact, originating from Egypt. It provided translation of Egyptian heiroglyphics.

Centuries later, despite faulty and limited data[1][2] on Earth's history, knowledge of the Rosetta Stone is still maintained by terrans. The lack of the equivalent of a Rosetta Stone when translating protoss writing was a source of frustration for archeologist Jake Ramsey.[3]
