Added by MecoThe slugthrower is a terran deflagration pistol. In use by at least 2478,[1] it features a magazine capacity of at least 14 rounds.[2] Despite its early status as a marine[2] and security guard sidearm,[1] it is ineffective against CMC Powered Combat Suits.[3]
The slugthrower uses the same alloys in its ammunition as the spike pistol, such alloys rendering both weapons detectable with the proper device.[1] The blaster may be a heavier type of slugthrower.[4]
After the Brood War the Dominion Marine Corps replaced or supplemented the slugthrower with the flak pistol.[5] However, slugthrowers can still be found in use by mercenaries such as Rosemary Dahl.[6]
