Karune signaled that Q&A Batch 51 will be up the morning of May 27th. Several death animations can be seen in a video at the Blizzard Entertainment website.
21st to 23rd May 2009–Korean StarCraft II reports
Fomos, a Korean esports website was given time to try out the observer mode of StarCraft II. They reported seven modes: none (no menus), resources (gathered resources and supply count), spending (on economy, tech and units), unit (number of units), production (units and buildings being created), army (resources spent on the army) and APM. 23rd May, 2009–Blizzard announced Global Writing Contest Winners

BlizzCon 2009 tickets went on sale at 10 AM Pacific Time (1 PM Eastern Standard Time). They have since sold out.
8th May 2009–German interview with Dustin Browder
Dustin Browder gave interviews to the German magazine, Gamestar. The topics were the balance of micro vs macro, nydus worm use by allies (they cannot), AI settings, the role of the mothership, weather effects, day/night cycles and assymetrical maps. This summer we will beta testing, this phase will signal the final stretch of development. During the Starcraft II beta test we'll begin external testing of our new Battle.net including some features that are designed to connect all future Blizzard games. This includes new tools that will make it easier for players to communicate with each other between games. We are also introducing a centralize system that would let players manage of all their Blizzard entertainment games and future games in one place without having to remember multiple sets of log in information.

The StarCraft II beta-test period is coming in the months ahead! If you’d like a chance to participate, now’s the time to let us know. Simply log in to your Battle.net account (https://www.battle.net/login/login.xml), and click “Beta Profile Settings” to go through the new beta opt-in process and upload a snapshot of your system specs. During this process, you’ll also have the opportunity to opt in to future betas for other Blizzard Entertainment games. Please note that even if you’ve opted in to our betas previously, you’ll need to complete this new process and upload your current system specs to have a chance to be invited.

6th May 2009 – Blizzard interview and updated images
The StarCraft Wiki is part of Blizzard's fansite program. As part of it, we have posted an official interview with Blizzard's lead producer Chris Sigaty on how the imminent StarCraft II beta will play out. The interview came with updated images for the zerg queen and spawning pool.

5th May 2009 – BlizzCon 2009 tickets on sale soon
BlizzCon 2009 tickets will be on sale for $125 on May 16th and a second wave will be available May 30th. The event will be televised online, Pay Per View, with DIRECTV. Source: Press Release.

Karune posted an interesting nullifier tactic; using Force Field to prevent drones from escaping, then using the nullifier's bonus damage vs biological units to finish them off. The multifunctionality of reaper mines was discussed. He also let us know that once a changeling transforms, it won't turn back into a changeling.

SC2pod has posted the 3rd Blizzard fansite Q&A. It discussed widescreen monitors, infestor visibility, colossus attacks, missile turret detection and its relationship with the sensor tower, zerg unit 3D models, soundtracks, transport mechanics, corruptor mechanics, and game design. Source: SC2pod

The third issue of the StarCraft comic has been announced.
