Star Battle is a fan-mod for StarCraft II, regarded as one of the best by PC Gamer. It's always ranking among the most popular custom maps on Battle.net.
Overview
The map is set in the same style as Defense of the Ancients, though is faster, less complicated and set in space. Each player controls a vessel chosen at the beginning (there's 8 vessels and a random option available) and has the aim of supporting attacking NPC starships as they try to take out an enemy space station. The vessel's weapons can be upgraded as the fight goes on, but the ship must be near the space station to buy the upgrades. Each ship can carry a number of its own fighters for fire support, and they are quickly built again if lost. (Note: probably the space background is random, so there's 4-5 space views possible.)
The vessels available are: battlecuiser, destroyer, raven, carrier, void ray, arbiter (it uses the Tal'darim executor as portrait), leviathan and guardian.
