First Welder Steiglitz was a member of Raynor's Raiders in the SceeVee Special Engineering Corps.
After receiving news that his oldest son in his planet's militia died in a friendly fire incident, Steiglitz began disassembling a raven that he had been putting together. By the time Patel, a fiber-pourer, and Chewitel Wsoro had pulled him out of his welding rig, the raven was cut into half a dozen pieces of slag. This outburst would sour the mood of the SceeVee Corps, and be one of the tipping points that would make their CO, Bill Bousquette, demand that they start getting shore leave.
