This article is obviously speculative, but I've looked over the Amerigo cinematic. The first Marine who unlocks his visor appears to have a name painted on the side of his chest, as opposed to a slogan. It's hard to make out, but it could well be Jacobs. And looking at the Beta image, seeing how another name is in the same position, that could be Jacobs also... Coincidence? Perhaps. Still, Jem was 'salvaged' also, so why not a Marine?
Anyway, that's just my take. If the article passes, probably best to extract an image from the cinematic if possible.--Hawki 12:58, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Was it a tail?[]
This article assumes that a hydralisk ripped off Jacob's face with its tail but I find that rather unusual. While a blow from a hydralisk's tail would certainly break bones, I don't see any blade or sharp edge attached to the pre Brood War hydralisk. Therefore, I think that saying a tail tore Jacob's face off is a little sketchy at best. It would seem more likely that a hydralisk was suspended from the ceiling with its tail and using its scythe to remove the man's face/ 72.201.114.210 05:19, March 31, 2011 (UTC)
