Information on the possibly false leaked video should go to Forum:Ending of StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm rather than this page.

The plot isn't necessairily false just because Kerrigan was turned human at the end of WOL. This episode might be a retelling of her time as a Zerg, and not follow on from the terran campaign.

I think somewhere Blizzy said that HotS follows directly after WoL. Tanooki1432 23:27, July 29, 2010 (UTC)
Maybe it's told in flashback? Drsdino 23:36, July 29, 2010 (UTC)
I think That the Voice might be Included in some way but that's just me--Reptor17 00:10, July 30, 2010 (UTC)
We can speculate on stuff like that until our hands fall off from typing and the cows come home, but we won't know anything until HotS is released. However, as Hawki stated below, that stuff is best left to the forums. This page is specifically for discussing changes and improvements to the article. God, I sound like an asshole... Tanooki1432 03:32, July 30, 2010 (UTC)

I don't like to suggest changes, generally, but I would like to point out that if you read the articles cited saying that this would be an RPG around Kerrigan, the information was presented as possible but entirely hypothetical, so I think treating it as fact is a bit premature at this point.--173.28.73.134 15:08, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

Protection[]

I've protected the page based on the number of edits based on WoL's ending. Kerrigan has regained at least some humanity, but that doesn't mutually exclude the statements-seems the empire will be based on benign purposes. Either way, if you want to speculate, best use a forum.--Hawki 03:07, July 30, 2010 (UTC)

Additional Units[]

The line saying that new units are unlikely seems to go against everything I've seen before, and the cite is in polish. The english version of the interview is at http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/02/blizzards-dustin-browder-talks-starcraft-2/#continued and while it does say that adding 2-4 new units per race per expansion would be insane, it does not at all say new units are unlikely. HotS Article?[]

I found this [1] though whether its genuine or not I can't say but thought I would list it here just in case. Post date seems to be in April but says that it was going to be featured in a June PC Gamer article. Darth Batrus 20:30, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

And now I remember why I was obsessing about not getting that issue of PC Gamer. Errr... where does one get back issues anyway? PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 20:31, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

Given that the article is dated April 1st and that it's talking about making changes in the expansion based on current beta testing (which makes no sense; changes based on beta testing would be made for release, or at least in patches soon thereafter), I'm guessing it's phony. -- 67.207.118.103 21:31, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

Sadly PsiSeveredhead I have no idea on how you get a back issue of PC Gamer though the above poster could be right that it might be a phoney since it seems to be based on information from the Beta. Also, my scouring of the internet found this article from PC Gamer dated 30 June 2010 that says Heart of the Swarm will come within an 18 month time frame though doesnt mention the stuff in the article I listed above. Moved into "hardcore development"[]

http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/81666/heart-of-the-swarm-swinging-into-hardcore-development/ Thought it'd be useful to add this to the page. Brainwasher5 02:45, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

The original source article is already linked. Blizzard just said they "broke ground" on it though; we shouldn't say it's in "hardcore development". PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 13:15, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

release date[]

According to this site, one employee said that it would be released in give or take 18 months after WoL, but then said that he was really just throwing that out there. However, the said employee said on the same article that 18 months is a really reasonable guess. Should we include that in this article? Brainwasher5 16:12, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

No. Blizzard release dates are notoriously inaccurate, especially at this stage. The game hasn't even been announced yet. (Yeah, they sort of did so at BlizzCon 2008, but they've hardly begun it.) PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 22:23, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

Release date[]

Please, when does this come out??

Wiebren Munk

Firstly, sign your posts properly.

Secondly, we don't really know, as there's nothing really set in stone. The general implication however, from what I can see, is that the very earliest would be December 2011, but a 2012 release date is far more likely. There was a general consensus at BlizzCon 2010 that no game would be released in 2011.--Hawki 22:16, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Another video[]

Here. Looks awesome, IMO.

It was original posted on Gametrailers, but the video was dropped. I suspect it was revealed at the recent HotS event, but that's still under NDA. So, I don't think we can put it in the article yet. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 22:23, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

New Content[]

Some new content out now so I thought I would post the links here for people to check:

Looks most interesting to me and can't wait to learn more. Got two named characters in the second link and says that adjutants used to be cyborgs which changed eventually since Kerrigan infested one of them. Plus, we have Kerrigans evolution master though I kind of wish we saw a Cerebrate but alas. Anyway, hope you enjoy the links. Darth Batrus 10:46, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

Quick question, there seems to be a contradiction on Abathur. Gamespot, in the link above, seems to indicate that he is a creature created by Kerrigan yet Starcraft Legacy interview says he predates her as he was a creature made by the Overmind. Which one is correct? Anyone know? Plus, sites like Gamespot say that Izsha is an infested adjutant before they became fully synthetic. Darth Batrus 16:38, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

I haven't read those links just yet, I'm still dealing with the flood of information from Legacy. But I think Legacy has actual quotes to back their side up.

When I read Gamespot, I can use them as a reference for Izsha. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 18:46, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

First, I want to congratulate Psi for the quick work. Second, I found (accidentally) in a news post on staredit.net yesterday that Blizzard made the participants of the news conference to sign an agreement of one-week silence (or the content would be released last week). Just a detail that I want to add here. Giobruno 21:20, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. On May 30th, I was informed by some people who went to the event that today was the day the NDA was ended. Information started leaking heavily May 30th, but otherwise the fansites kept control of the info. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 22:07, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

Blizzard official HotS site[]

For those who doesn't know already, Blizzard has launched a official web site for Heart of the Swarm: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/game/heart-of-the-swarm-preview

(And I don't know if I put this on the article or in the talk.) Giobruno 16:08, June 1, 2011 (UTC)

I'll make an external link.--Hawki 02:34, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

Posting these two hubs here for easy reference to find them.--Hawki 02:34, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

New Unit Stats[]

Someone provided many of them here: http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/lm7e8/a_complete_list_of_all_multiplayer_hots/ - and unlike forums, these can be used as references. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 16:42, October 29, 2011 (UTC)

Storing videos here for now. Think the campaign trailer is really the only substantial one, but either way, if they're going to be on the page, at least store them in the videos section and upload them onto the wiki rather than just providing links.--Hawki 21:34, November 6, 2011 (UTC)

Press Kit Images[]

I've just converted all the .TGA files in the press kit to JPGs, so I can start uploading images soon. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 18:06, June 1, 2012 (UTC)
