Tarsonis City, the main city of Tarsonis, was so grand it was named twice. It had suburbs with more people than some Terran-populated planets, represented by its sprawling cityscape, punctured by the 'spires' of its tallest buildings. It was the seat of the Confederate Government and included bodies such as the Council. Tarsonis has its own city council, which had a reputation for corruption.[1] Law was maintained by the Tarsonis Police Force, though that too was touched by corruption.[2]
When the Sons of Korhal launched their attack on the Confederate capital world, Tarsonis City suffered extensive damage. A downed Battlecruiser set much of the western precincts in flames and the rest of the city fared little better, vicious street fighting occurring between the Sons of Korhal and the remnants of Delta and Omega Squadron.[1] To make matters worse, the city had to deal with the arrival of the Zerg.[2]
