Ulaan is a moon^[1] once inhabited by the xel'naga.

In the prelude to the Second Great War, Kerrigan visited the moon and began infesting it. She was followed by Praetor Karass of the Daelaam.

Zeratul visited it to uncover pieces of a xel'naga prophecy, though he had to deal with the zerg present on the world, including Kerrigan. He succeeded in his mission after being joined by several stalkers, Praetor Karass, and his forces.^[2]
