Hello, {{PAGENAME}}, and welcome to the StarCraft Wiki!

The StarCraft Wiki aims to be the World Wide Web's most comprehensive database on the StarCraft Universe and we're always pleased to have new contributors. If you haven't already, consider [[Special:Userlogin|creating a user account]]. An account gives access to additional features, and it is valid for all other Wikia wikis as well.

Please be familiar with the StarCraft Wiki's guidelines and policies. All additions to content articles must be appropriately referenced; unreferenced contributions may be removed. If you need further assistance you may post in the forums or send a message to an administrator.

Please remember to sign your posts to talk and forum pages with four tildes (~~~~). This automatically adds your username and the date and makes it easier to see who's saying what!

We look forward to further collaboration with you in the future. Thanks for stopping by and, again, welcome to the StarCraft Wiki!

Splitting Edit

I haven't been checking the particulars of the recent splits, but just in case... Only split off game sections into separate articles that are large, or have significant content.

The game-specific redirects are probably a good idea though, regardless of whether an article is split or not. I'm thinking those could come in handy if and when we get those "portal" pages up. - Meco (talk, contribs) 01:45, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, that's what I've been doing, for the most part. I'm thinking that most every unit of SC I and II should be split, because the game block and specific tactical info will tend to be rather significant. I have, however, left things like SC Ghost info right where it was. Thanks, always, for your input. -- Techpriest88 06:31, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Transtopbar Edit

It doesn't actually do anything.

When Wikia started putting in ads in 2008, at first all pages would have ads, not just the main page. Ads could appear in two forms: a wide banner ad, or a top-right-corner ad.

The TransTopBar was supposed to force the ad to always be a wide banner ad (so it wouldn't interfere with common right-sided templates). Alas, after a while it suddenly stopped working. Then Wikia decided to only put ads on the main page, so the template became useless. We just haven't bothered to remove them. Perhaps we can turn them into something else if we ever need a template on each page. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 23:18, October 12, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I noticed that you (I believe it was you) added them to a page or two. Should we simpply continue to have them there, just in case a use is found for them? -- Techpriest88 23:45, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
