The Voidshade hybrid was a very powerful breed of hybrid created by Amon. Due to its immense power, it required more preparation to summon than regular hybrids.

During the End War, the Nerazim scout Lyrak discovered an operation in which Amon's Forces were attempting to channel energy from void slivers into a xel'naga temple in order to summon the hybrid. Lyrak called for the aid of allied commanders to help them, and together they destroyed the void slivers and prevented its summoning.

Co-op

The Voidshade hybrid appears in the co-op mission "Scythe of Amon" in which the players must destroy the void slivers before it awakens.
