The Zhakul Guardians were protoss on Zhakul which at some point became mind-controlled by the hybrid, Maar, before the Second Great War. Under his control, they had a universal black and green color scheme.
Zeratul was forced to fight the Guardians when he sought to consult the Zhakul preservers.[1]
